Man jumps off bridge

In a case of suicide, a man jumped off the Goshree Bridge into the backwaters here on Tuesday. Even though the Fire and Rescue Services Department officials and the local people conducted search operations, they were unable to find him.

The person has been identified as Adesh, 33, of Nikathil House, Njarackkal. The police officials said that Adesh committed the act at 5.30 pm after leaving his bike close to the bridge. His suicide note was found from the bike. The police have sought the assistance of the Navy for the search operations which were halted at night owing to the lack of visibility.
