Man rapes minor cousin sister, arrested

A minor girl was allegedly raped by her cousin brother at Thana Medical area in Meerut, police said on Tuesday.

The accused has been arrested. The incident took place yesterday when Ravi (22) raped his eight-year-old cousin sister in an inebriated condition, they said.

The victim's parents were not present at home when the incident took place, they said.

After listening to the girl's plight, her parents informed the police and lodged a complaint, following which the accused was arrested and sent to a jail today, they added.
