CHIDAMBARAM: A man was arrested and later released for killing more than 15 dogs, a fox, hens, crows and fishes in the Nanjaimagathu Vazhkai village. Angry that a dog entered his goat pen and killed a goat at Nanjaimagathu Vazhkai on Sunday, 47-year-old Manivannan of Thaikkal village applied poison over the dead animal’s body and threw it on a farm land with the intention of killing the animal. But his plan landed him in jail.Police said that eating the poisoned goat, more than 15 dogs, a fox, hens, crows and fishes died. Police arrested him under sections 278 and 429 of IPC and later released on bail.
