MES to write to President, move HC

BELGAUM: The MES has said that by superseding the Belgaum City Corporationthe Karnataka government has “murdered democracy”.Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti city president T K Patil said on Thursday that the MES had decided to write letters to President Pratibha Patil, Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan and Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray about the “attack of the Karnataka government on democracy”. He said the MES was planning to question the state’s decision in the High Court.
