Los Angeles: Veteran actor Mickey Rooney's 1927 classic 'Mickey's Circus', which was said to be lost, has been found and is set to be restored. The movie, which featured Rooney, 93, is among dozens of early American silent pictures to be restored through a Dutch-American collaboration, said The Hollywood Reporter. The silent films, which were unseen for decades, have been unearthed in the Netherlands and are set for restoration.
San Francisco-based National Film Preservation Foundation and EYE Filmmuseum of Amsterdam are partnering to bring these films back into public view.
'Mickey's Circus', from Larry Darmour Productions, stars Rooney as Mickey McGuire, the ringmaster of a kids' circus. It was the first of 78 appearances the legendary actor made.
