We often lose things when visiting a place or travelling. While some people manage to retrieve their lost items, most of the people lose hope of getting them back. A similar incident happened to a family in Kerala. The family reportedly retrieved the lost item after hours of search operation. Sasikumar, a resident of Edathala, Aluva recently visited the Lokanarkavu Temple located in the district of Kozhikode, Kerala. The family was returning from the Kottiyoor pilgrimage when they decided to give a stop at the temple in order to take a bath in its pond. It is considered to be sacred among the locals. Sasikumar along with his children were bathing in the pond of the temple, when he noticed that his gold chain was missing.
The man swiftly understood that the gold chain had fallen into the pond. According to reports, the necklace was very valuable. He panicked and called the local villagers to help him find the gold chain. The villagers reached the venue and initiated a collective effort to find the valuable thing. After hours of trying the villagers failed to find the gold chain. The man then called the police for help. The local police arrived along with divers to find the valuable ornament.
As per the reports, it was a challenging task as the pond was filled with water due to recent rain. The search operation went on for hours but no one was successful in recovering the gold chain. Subsequently, three powerful motor pumps were used to drain out the water. Then after 30 hours of search operation, the gold chain was found buried in the mud.
The Trustee Board Chairman of the Lokanarkavu Temple stated that the collective effort of the locals helped Sasikumar and his family return home with a smile. Locals mentioned that it was a miraculous task as it is often claimed that the pond never dries, not even during the summer season. Sasikumar extended his gratitude to the locals before leaving for home.
