New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Gujarat on Sunday evening to seek the blessings of his mother after his BJP-led NDA returned to power with a massive majority in the Lok Sabha elections.
"Will be going to Gujarat tomorrow evening, to seek blessings of my Mother. Day after tomorrow morning, I will be in Kashi to thank the people of this great land for reposing their faith in me," the prime minister tweeted.

He will reach Ahmedabad tomorrow around 5 pm. After a welcome ceremony at the airport, the PM will proceed towards the BJP office in Khanapur. He will meet his the mother later in the day and stay at Rajbhavan in Gandhinagar.
Khanapur, a Muslim dominated locality, is part of the old city in Ahmedabad. The Gujarat BJP shifted its office here from Khadia, in 1984. When Modi moved from the RSS to BJP in 1987, he started using this office and it continued till 1995. Till 2012, the BJP in Gujarat continued its activities from the Khanapur office only. Initially, it was a small one-room office and later expanded to two rooms. Later one portion of the upper floor was built and finally the entire upper floor was made in a span of 19 years.
On Monday, Modi will be in Varanasi, the Lok Sabha seat he retained in the elections by a margin of 4.79 lakh votes.
