Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh will soon have a world-class auto-testing track where vehicles will be tested for gradation.
To be equipped with the facility of testing of vehicles in various climatic conditions at different stages, the track would issue certificates for vehicles produced in the country and abroad.
"The track would become an international standard centre to provide testing facilities to Indian and foreign companies for all kinds of automobile machinery," said Commerce and Industries Minister of Madhya Pradesh Babulal Gaur.
"The track would be set up by the National Automotive Testing and Research and Development Infrastructure Project. It is one of the most significant initiatives in the automotive sector," an industry department official said.
"The central government has given its approval," the minister said.
Land acquisition process for the proposed track at Pithampur in Dhar district, spread over 4,000 acres, has already begun.
