CHENNAI: The stage is set for the finals of Kiah’s Mrs Chennai in which 12 contestants selected from the semi-finals will contest for the crown. Kiah Mrs Chennai 2011, the 12th edition of Mrs Chennai by Virgo Event Management, started off with over 200 participants. The participants were put through four preliminary rounds that included communication, talent, cookery and a treasure hunt and 26 of them were shortlisted as semi-finalists. The 12 finalists who will lock heads for the title are Preethi, Mona, Sangeetha, Jaya , Iswarya, Aparna, Shrabani, Akshya, Vijayanthi, Suma, Nithya and Gul.In the Green Trends Elegant Queen contest, the contestants were given the dress code of Western party wear and they were given 30 minutes to do their own make-up. They participated in a fashion show and answered questions posed by the judges for the day. Nithya was crowned as Green Trends elegant queen.The other winners are: Isphani Smart Queen AP Akshyalakshmi, Happima Masala Samayal Rani Suma Iyengar, Club Mahindra Communication queen Mrs Vijayanthi and Accord Metropolitan Talent Queen Ms Jenifer.
