Andaz Apna Apna is one of the cult classic comedy films of Bollywood. The film starred Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, and Karisma Kapoor in the lead roles. Well, for a long time, the remake of the film has been in the news but nothing has been made official. Recently, Raveena Tandon in conversation with The Times of India revealed that she wants Ayushmann Khurrana or Ranveer Singh in the film.
Raveena was quoted saying, “I would be thrilled to revisit Andaz Apna Apna. Reimagining this comedy with a fresh perspective would be an exciting challenge.” She further added, “Teaming up with Ranveer Singh or Ayushmann Khurrana would bring a dynamic energy with a modern twist while paying homage to the original characters.”
Well, last month on his birthday Aamir Khan shared a major update about the sequel of the film. Sharing the hint, Aamir Khan said, “Filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi is working on the script of ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2’.” However, Aamir Khan also added that it is in the beginning stages and also too early to get excited about. Back in 1994, Andaz Apna Apna took the audience by storm. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Vinay Kumar Sinha, the movie also featured Paresh Rawal (in a dual role), and Shakti Kapoor.
Recently, in an exclusive interview with News18 she was asked about getting more offers from down South after her stint in KGF2, she said that she’s not rushing through decisions. “Yes, but I have been choosy. I don’t want to do too much work also because I believe if, as a star, you are seen everywhere, you lose your shine. Only if a script comes my way where I’m playing something different and it’s a role that challenges me, I will say yes,” she said.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Raveena was recently seen in the courtroom drama Patna Shukla. Raveena has been making waves on OTT platforms lately. Her work was much appreciated in Karmma Calling.
