Melbourne: India's Arun Murugesan on Friday won the silver medal in weightlifting in men's 62 kg category at the 18th Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
Murugesan claimed the silver with a total lift of 271 kg (121+150).
Murugesan missed the gold medal on account of his higher body weight to Vidanage Chintana of Sri Lanka, who also lifted the same weight (118+153).
The Indian weighed 61.87 kg as against the gold medallist who weighed 61.79 kg.
Malayasia's Abdul Rashid Roswadi Bin won the bronze with an overall lift of 261 kg (120+141).
