Bhopal: Thousands of villagers from areas affected by the Narmada dam will hold a sit-in protest in Bhopal on Thursday. The protesters will launch a five-day protest under the Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA) banner.
The protesters are demanding to implement the order passed by the Supreme Court that has asked the Madhya Pradesh government to rehabilitate people affected by the project.
The Narmada Bachao Andolan spearheaded the water protests to demand proper rehabilitation for land that the villagers have lost and a reduction in the dam's water level.
