NCERT textbook calls private hospitals greedy, IMA fumes

The Indian Medical Association (IMA) is now at loggerheads with the government over a chapter in an NCERT textbook.

According to reports, the IMA has fumed and is up in arms over the textbook chapter that describes private hospitals as greedy. The medical body has also registered its protest to the government in this regard.

The IMA has reportedly sent protest letter to the Union Health Ministry and the HRD Ministry over the issue, even as it has threatened to sue NCERT.

This comes close on the heels of the HRD Ministry facing flak over an NCERT meeting which decided to reportedly fix flaws in history textbooks.
