A programme was organised to celebrate the “Breast feeding Week” by the woman and child welfare department under the supervision of district programme officer. The women were educated on the benefits of breastfeeding. The programme also had a session with gynecologist who interacted on woman health issues and benefits of breast feeding to the mother. The programme also showed two documentaries.

Indore: Heavy rains force schools to declare holiday

All the government and private schools remained closed on Friday due to incessant rainfall in the city during the last 24 hours. District Collector Akash Tripathi issued the order. The schools also remained closed in Ratlam, Barwani, Dewas and Ujjain due to heavy downpour. Barwani district administration had declared two days holiday in all the educational institutions of the district.

Indore: AFS organises inter-cultural programmes, students across the world participates

About fifteen students from countries like Germany, Italy, Thailand, and Russia have come to Indore for AFS’ inter-cultural programmes. These fifteen students are studying in The Daly College, Shishukunj International School, Emerald Heights International School and Choithram International School. AFS is a voluntary organisation that organises inter-cultural exchange programmes in schools of various countries.

Indore: AIET organises campus pool drive

Acropolis Institute of Engineering and Technology (AIET) organised a campus pool drive to felicitate the graduated engineering students. About 750 students attended the programme. Numerous private organisations like BSNL, Ultratech Cement, Ranbaxy and many others participated in the drive.
