The Osmania University Joint Action committee and Telangana Student Joint Action Committee called for Telanagana bandh on Monday.
OU JAC leader Kailash said they called for Telangana Bandh on Monday demanding immediate resignation of ministers of region.
“All Telangana ministers should tender their resignations to their powers by Monday afternoon. If the Ministers fail to do so, the OU JAC will lay siege to the houses of Telangana ministers in the city. The students will also strengthen their stir in the future,” Kailash said.
Tension prevailed in the campus around 8.30 pm when students staying in B Hostel started lobbing stones on the police. In retaliation, police triggered tear gas shells on the mob. The situation was then brought under control.
