THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Young Indians (YI), a sister concern of CII, is organising a parenting session on Saturday, titled ‘Don’t Sprint the Marathon’, at Hotel Classic Avenue. The session is aimed at helping your children explore their full potential. It will be an interactive and informative session led by V Raghunathan, who has the authored the book ‘Don’t Sprint the Marathon’. The core message of the book is to help parents understand kids better, help them see larger goals in life and also reminding them that consistency is the most important thing one should target for, rather than winning ‘small small battles.’ Raghunathan, who also wrote ‘Games Indians Play’, offers an alternative approach that can be even more rewarding. This event is planned as a fund raiser and the revenue from the event will be used to help build a classroom for a school on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram. The session is for couples and the fees per couple is Rs 1,000. The timing is 4 pm to 6 pm. Each couple will get the book and can interact with the speaker. For enquiries and registration, contact Harsha Reghu, project coordinator, at [email protected] or 09946046651.
