Meanwhile, the National Investigation Agency has decided to bring Gurdaspur SP Salwinder Singh to Delhi to to subject him to a lie detector test on claims that his SUV was carjacked by the terrorists before they launched the attack.

The SP had claimed that the terrorists abducted him while he was on his way back from a shrine in Pathankot.

Investigators want to find out whether the SP played a crucial role in the Pathankot attack and whether he provided logistical support to the terrorists.

A civilian class 4 officer who worked at the air base was also being questioned to ascertain if the terrorists had any inside help.

Six terrorists in army fatigues attacked the air base in Pathankot on Saturday killing seven security personnel, before they were gunned down in an encounter which lasted over four days.

Autopsies were carried out on the bodies of the terrorists and body tissue was preserved for DNA sampling.

DNA samples found in their vehicle, and footprints,suspected to be from the terrorists, were lifted for forensic tests.

Weapons and ammunition as well as the food and medicines carried by the terrorists were taken as material evidence.
