CHITTOOR: Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy spent most of his time at his ancestral house at Nagaripalle, near Kalikiri mandal headquarters, on Tuesday listening to people's woes.People from the nearby villages met the chief minister with representations on several problems, particularly drinking water, sanitation, pensions and house sites.While, the chief minister was busy listening to the grievances of the people from the constituency, village secretaries working on contract basis staged a flash dharna near his residence demanding regularisation of their services.The chief minister's personal secretary SS Rawath and other officials tried to pacify the employees, but to no avail.They gave up their protest only after the chief minister assured to give them priority in the recruitment for such posts.Meanwhile, villagers from remote areas of KV Palle mandal complained to the chief minister that the forest officials were harassing them. They said they put up electric fencing in their fields to ward off wild animals. But the forest officials, instead of taking steps to prevent animals from straying into human habitations were harassing them, the said.
