GUNTUR: The Seemandhra Students’ Joint Action Committee and political JAC members will launch a hunger strike in front of the Assembly on November 2, if the Centre fails to announce its stand on Telangana before November 1, said Seemandhra political JAC convener professor N Samuel.Addressing Seemandhra students and political JAC meet at Nagarjuna University on Thursday, he said the central government should take a decision immediately based on the Srikrishna Committee recommendations.He alleged the Congress high command was responsible for the present chaos in the state. He expressed concerns over lack of administration in the state.The JAC convener said there was no clarity in the T agitation.He warned they would not allow the people’s representatives of the Congress to move in Seemandhra region, if the Congress party supports a separate Telangana state. The Congress government is responsible for the present state of affairs and farmers are losing their crop due to lack of power supply.The appeal of parents to see that schools function as usual, indicates how people are vexed with the agitation, said Samuel.He said the Seemandhra JAC members will stage a protest from October 18 to 22 over the negligent attitude of Congress on the T issue.Seemandhra political JAC president N Narasimha Rao, Student JAC convener from Andhra University, A Kishore, Nagarjuna University student convener Venkata Ramana and others were present. Student leaders from 14 universities in Seemandhra attended the meeting.
