Power Cut During Union Power Minister's Press Conference in Delhi

New Delhi: Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal faced an embarrassing moment following a power cut during a press conference on Friday.

The power cut took place when the Minister of State with Independent Charge for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy was interacting with journalists at the Press Information Bureau in Delhi to explain his ministry’s achievements and future plans on the completion of two years of the Narendra Modi government.

While the interactive session was on, suddenly there was a blackout leaving the minister in an awkward situation.

Though he tried to hide the “humiliation" for the power cut but the annoyance was quite visible on his face. However, the power was back after a few seconds.

Goyal also released a booklet on the achievements of his ministry.
