KOCHI: For the first time addressing a public gathering, Salahuddin Ayyoobi, son of Abdul Nasser Madhani, said his family had undergone suffering as his father had been imprisoned ever since he was born.He was speaking at a mass contact programme, orgainsed by the PDP Ernakulam District committee at High Court Junction here on Friday, demanding Madhani’s release.Salahuddin Ayyoobi said his father was first imprisoned in the Coimbatore bomb blast case when he was one year old.“We lived like orphans for ten years.Everyone in the family was delighted to see him back after he was acquitted in the case.But, false case had been charged against him again and he was given another jail term.Now we are alone again,” Salahuddin said.“I thank everyone for sincerely attempting to get my father released from jail.Our family also want all the people in Kerala to remember my father in their prayers.Also, pray to Almighty that my father will be released when the Supreme Court takes the case on January 30,” Salahuddin said.He also collected the signature from the activists gathered for sending it to the Chief Minister of Karnataka, demanding the release of Madhani.The public gathering was inaugurated by M S Jayaprakash.PDP working chairman Punthura Siraj delivered the keynote address
