Pregnant woman burnt to death by husband, in-laws over dowry
An eight-month pregnant woman was allegedly burnt to death by her husband and in-laws over dowry in Babugarh area, police said in Hapur on Thursday. Naresh Devi was allegedly set on fire by her husband Puran and in-laws on late on Tuesday night in Upeda village. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries, police said.

Woman's uncle has registered a complaint against her husband and her in-laws alleging that they were demanding a motorbike and Rs 50,000, failing which they set her on fire.

"We are investigating the case. Based on complaint, we have arrested Puran's parents while he and his younger brother are still on the run," said a senior police official.
