BHUBANESWAR: Khandagiri Police on Sunday arrested a realtor for allegedly kidnapping two staffers of a rival firm. Kamakshya Prasad Pradhan, the realtor, had a dispute with another builder over a piece of land in Mancheswar area. He had allegedly abducted two staffers of the rival firm on April 9 following which a case was lodged with police. Pradhan was held on charges of abduction, criminal intimidation and possession of arms.DOC GETS EXTORTION CALLS: A dentist of the City has lodged a complaint with police after he reportedly received extortion calls. Police said Dr Satya Ranjan Samal received a call from a man, who identified himself as Deepak Dwivedy and demanded ` 10 lakh. He lodged an FIR in Capital Police Station. However, police suspect someone used Dwivedy’s name to call Samal since the former was arrested by Sahid Nagar Police a few days back.
