SABARIMALA: Sahasrakalasa pooja was held at Lord Ayyappa temple on Wednesday evening after ‘deeparadhana,’ as part of Sahasrakalasam, to be conducted on Thursday. Thantri Kandararu Maheswararu performed the pooja on the Brahmakalasa as part of the Sahasrakalasa pooja in the presence of melsanthi G Balamurali at 7 p.m. Heavy RushThe temple witnessed heavy rush of pilgrims on Wednesday. Sopanam and fly-over were overcrowded in the morning for darsan of Lord Ayyappa.KalabhabhishekamKalabhabhishekam will be the other special ritual to be held at the temple on April 12. Both Sahasrakalasam and Kalabhabhishekam will be conducted under the leadership of thantri Maheswararu in the presence of melsanthi Balamurali during Uchcha pooja. Udayasthamana pooja, Pushpabhishekam and Padi pooja were the other ritual held at the temple.Queue ComplexTravanvancore Devaswom Board president M Rajagopalan Nair will dedicate the newly-built queue complex near Saramkuthi on April 13. The queue complex will have a capacity to accommodate 5,000 pilgrims at a time with facilities such as resting place, toilets, information centre and provision for medicated drinking water during the pilgrimage season.Vishukani DarsanThe Sreekovil of the temple will be opened for Vishukani darsan between 4 a.m. and 5 p.m. on April 14.
