HYDERABAD: Even as the Telangana Congress public representatives were preparing to submit resignations to their posts on July 4, their counterparts in Seemandhra region were planning to go to New Delhi on July 5 to once again place their views (for continuation of United Andhra Pradesh) before the party Central leaders.The Seemandhra Congress public representatives who included ministers, MLAs and MLCs met on Friday at the Congress legislature party office and discussed the strategies to be adopted to achieve their goal.Talking to newsmen later, minister S Sailajanath claimed that they were ready with the required plans to convince the party leaders in New Delhi about the need to keep the state united.Asked about the resignation decision taken by the Telangana Congress public representatives, the minister said it was for the party high command to look into the issue.Later in the evening, Sailajanath accompanied by minister TG Venkatesh, senior member Gade Venkat Reddy and others met Union minister and incharge of AP affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad at Gandhi Bhavan and sought his cooperation in getting appointment to meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Pranab Mukherjee to place their views on integrated state issue.Former chief minister N Janardhan Reddy was also present. In response, Azad reportedly questioned the Seemandhra leaders what was the need for them to come to Delhi when they have already placed their views on the issue before him.Meanwhile, members of the Telangana Congress Monitoring Group (TCMG) who included G Niranjan, R Ananda Bhaskar , Sirajuddin, Shyam Mohan and others met Azad and made it clear that there was no alternative t o Telangana.
