New Delhi: India's sporting legends lash out at the organisers, saying only sportsmen and sports lovers should be allowed to run the games.
At the end of the day the athletes stand to lose out if the games can not be organised properly, say sportspersons PT Usha and Vishwanathan Anand who have made India proud.
"I think sportpeople will bring their empathy and we will have some understanding for what they go through. Having gone through something myself, I will know where my thoughts will lie during the sporting event and I think that will be something they will be able to relate to easily from us rather than someone who is not from the sports background," said Anand.
"It's always good when all sport associations or sports people are there. But at the same time I'm not against the politicians but they should be sports lover. There won't be any problem if it is like that," said Usha.
