Sreedharans withdrawal: Hibi Eden writes to PM

KOCHI: Ernakulam MLA Hibi Eden on Friday asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to ensure DMRC chief E Sreedharan’s service for the Kochi Metro Rail Project(KMRL).In a letter to the Prime Minister, he requested that the Centre should give more importance for the implementation of the project as there was much expectation over it.Expressing concern over the reports that E Sreedharan is going to withdraw from the Kochi Metro project, Eden demanded that the Prime Minister should interfere in the matter to ensure the time-bound completion of the project.Hibi Eden also wrote similar letters to Defence Minister A K Antony, Planning Commission deputy chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia and AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi.
