New Delhi: Delhi court has approved polygraph tests to be conducted on three key witnesses in the Sunanda Pushkar death case. The witnesses - Tharoors' domestic help - Narain Singh, driver - Bajrangi and friend Sanjay Dewan - had agreed for the test as they have claimed that they are innocent.

"They have no problem in undergoing lie detector test. They are not lying. Some arguments on merits took place," lawyer of witnesses in Sunanda case Vikas Pahwa said.

Seeking permission to conduct the test, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) had told the court that they hid material facts and could be possible suspects.

The date of the test has not been decided yet. "Date of lie detector test will be given depending on everyone's availability including tht of doctors. It will be conducted shortly," Defence Lawyer Manoj Chaudhary said.

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor and his staff members and close friends were among those quizzed by Delhi Police. Former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh and senior journalist Nalini Singh, too, have been questioned by police.

52-year-old Sunanda was found dead in her suite at a five- star hotel in south Delhi on the night of January 17, 2014, a day after she was involved in a spat with Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar on micro-blogging website twitter over the latter's alleged affair with Tharoor.

Police had filed a murder case in their pursuit of the matter.
