New Delhi: The Tughlak Road home of the late union minister Sunil Dutt is in the list of illegally occupied government quarters.
The illegally occupied government quarters also includes TRS chief K Chandra Shekhar Rao's 23-Tughlaq Road.
Union Minister of State for Urban Development Ajay Maken, however, told the Rajya Sabha in a reply that only nine complaints have so far been received by the Directorate of Estates regarding non-vacation of government quarters after retirement/death of allottees.
Vacation of quarters after expiry of eligibility is sought to be done expeditiously.
Appeals on eviction orders passed by the competent estate officer under the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971, and the prevailing rules allowing the family of an expired allottee to retain a house up to two years do not make it feasible to fix a defined time frame for vacation.
