BANGALORE: Police had a tough time in controlling the enthusiastic mob and the media, who were present in large number at a private hotel, the venue where the new leader of the state BJP legislative party D V Sadananda Gowda was elected on Wednesday.
The attendants mostly comprised BJP activists clearly divided between Jagadish Shettar and Sadananda Gowda, who were anxious to know about the happenings inside the Hotel where the process of secret ballot was being taken place. They were seen jostling to occupy wanton place outside the compound of the posh hotel to have the glimpses of the affairs inside the venue on Wednesday.
