HYDERABAD: Minister for social welfare Pitani Satyanarayana has denied that the state government is contemplating closing down welfare hostels which has less than 50 students.Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat, the minister, however, said that hostels whose student strength is less than 50 would be merged, and some 90 such hostels had already been merged.
