Talks to continue today, says CPM

CHENNAI: CPI State secretary D Pandian and CPM State secretary G Ramakrishnan on Friday held talks with a three-member committee of the AIADMK on seat-sharing for the local body elections.Talking to media representatives after the discussion, Ramakrishnan said the list of mayoral candidates announced by the AIADMK was not final. He said the AIADMK leaders conveyed this during the talks.Ramakrishnan said the talks would continue on Saturday also between the committees of both of the parties.The CPM committee included K Balakrishnan and K Thangavel, MLAs and P Sampath. The CPI team had S Gunasekaran, MLA, former MLAs G Palanisamy and Sivapunniyam, Ramasamy and former Member of Parliament Subbarayan.
