TDB approves special rules for appointments

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) has approved the special rules prepared for the appointment of employees in the service of the Board.  In 2007, it was decided to entrust the appointment to the Establishment  Division of the PSC. But, as the preparation of special rules was delayed, the PSC had not taken over the appointments. The TDB was facing a crisis following the delay in the appointment of the ministerial employees in its offices and temples since 2007. The rules were prepared after conducting detailed discussions with the  employees’ organisations and service experts. As per the special rules, the Devaswom Commissioner and Secretary may be appointed by promoting the eligible candidates or through direct appointment.
