HYDERABAD: The winter session of the State Legislative Assembly will generate much political heat as the main opposition party, Telugu Desam, has decided to move a no-trust motion against the Congress government led by N Kiran Kumar Reddy. The TRS has decided to back the motion while Congress MLAs supporting the YSR Congress have decided to support the government. It is not clear what stand YSRC’s lone MLA, YS Vijayamma, will take when the motion will be moved by the TDP."We will move no-rust motion on the very first day of the winter session of the Assembly. Let us see what the Congress MLAs supporting YSRC will do,” TDP Politburo member Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said here on Friday. He said it would be interesting to watch if the pro-Jagan Congress MLAs would support the Congress as they did during the speaker’s and deputy speaker’s elections during the last session of the Assembly.Pro-Jagan Congress MLAs said that they would back the government and vote against the no-trust motion but continue to support Jagan outside the Assembly.“We will not support the no-trust motion. We want developmental works in our constituencies. If Jagan faces any problem, we will support him outside the Assembly,” said Adinarayana Reddy. The TDP believes that moving a no-trust motion would be of advantage to it.If pro-Jagan MLAs support the Congress government, the TDP will expose the nexus and say that the petition in the High Court seeking CBI probe was filed only to defame Naidu. On the other hand, the TRS dared the TDP to move a no-trust motion. After the TDP declared its intention, the TRS decided to back the TDP, despite its reservations on the TDP’s motion.“The TDP is trying to blackmail the Congress in the wake of the court ordering CBI probe into Naidu’s assets,” TRS MLA KT Ramarao said. The ‘political game of no-trust motion” being played by the TDP and the TRS notwithstanding, there will be no threat to the Kiran Reddy government.Even if pro-Jagan MLAs vote for the motion, there will be no danger to the Kiran Reddy government.Apart from the debate and voting on the no-trust motion, the session is likely to witness unruly scenes as the TRS plans to stall the proceedings demanding a separate Telangana state.
