PUDUCHERRY: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa urged the voters of the Indira Nagar constituency, where by-election would be held on October 13, to teach a lesson to the All India Namathu Rajyam Congress (AINRC), which had been pursuing anti-people policies. In a statement, the party chief said that even after four months, the Rangasamy government had not implemented any pro-people schemes. The rice scheme had been stopped and there was deterioration of law and order, she added.Saying that the proxy allegations against Education Minister P M L Kalyanasundaram have made the Puducherry students hang their heads in shame, Jayalalithaa said Chief Minister Rangasamy was not taking any action against him and was keeping silence on the issue.She said the AINRC Chief chose to put his brother’s son as the candidate in Indira Nagar overlooking the claims of party members. By doing so, he has betrayed his own party men, the AIADMK leader said.Jayalalithaa said that the AINRC had formed the Government by ditching the alliance party AIADMK in the April 13 assembly elections. This was against alliance dharma, she added.
