Techie too smart for moral police

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 'torchbearers' of morality can now rue over their foiled attempt at reenacting part2 of 'Thasni Banu' incident in the city.
If the selfproclaimed morality preachers dared slap their victim in Kochi while imparting their lecture and if it took some days before they were arrested, their followers in the city were in for a sharper and quicker rebound on Wednesday. All credit goes to Vijesh Vijay, the IT professional who had been wise enough to act in the most unpleasant of circumstances. Though taken aback initially by the ugly-tongued queries and stinking abuses, he made sure that his wife and his motherinlaw were safe. He showed sense not to be aggressive with the hooligans and, most importantly, he picked up the nerve to have them arrested right away.
