New Delhi: Indo-US renewable energy cooperation is a political challenge, according to American expert Peter Tichansky.

Speaking at the Observer Research Foundation and Network18 initiative 'The India-US Dialogue', Tichansky on Saturday said, "In Indo-US renewable energy cooperation, a political challenge more than an engineering one."

"Defence, insurance, cyber security, medical and construction are business opportunity in India," he said.

Tichansky, CEO of Business Council for International Understanding, also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for American business. "PM Modi's audacity and impatience is extremely welcome for American business," he said.

On defence cooperation, Tichansky said, "Prospects are excellent in defence cooperation because planning directly involves both governments"

In the lead up to US President's historic second visit to India; The Observer Research Foundation and Network18 have initiated the India-US policy dialogues.
