Three booked for selling pirated CDs

KOCHI: The police seized pornographic and pirated CDs from two shops during two separate raids conducted at Kakkanad and Menaka on Tuesday.  Three persons were booked for selling illegal CDs. In Penta Menaka, police raided the godown of Cinema Paradise and seized more than 100 CDs of pirated and pornographic movies. Police arrested Sathar and shop owner Amitabh for the illegal sale. In another raid in Kakkanad, police raided Chemmos Stores owned by Majeed, 38, and seized pirated versions of several movies  including ‘Salt and Pepper’, ‘Three Kings’, ‘Seniors’, ‘Sevenes’.  The police also seized pornographic CDs and  books from the stores.  Majeed was arrested and a case has been registered against him.
