CHENNAI: The state government announced the promotion of three IPS officers and the transfer of 13 others on Wednesday.  T K Pugalendhi, additional SP, Crime, Tirunelveli, was promoted as SP and posted as DCP, Triplicane. R Kannappan, additional SP, NCB CID, Chennai, was posted as SP, Ariyalur district. M Paneerselvam, additional SP, Tamil Nadu Police Academy, was posted as SP, Sivagangai district. A G Babu, AIGP, Headquarters, Chennai, was posted as SP, Vellore district. S Santhi, SP, Enforcement, Chennai, was posted as SP, anti-dacoity cell, Chennai. B Vijayakumari, SP, NIB CID, was posted as SP, video piracy cell, Chennai. S Prabhakaran, SP, was posted as DCP, Headquarters, Suburban police, replacing Z Annie Vijaya, and M Vijayalakshmi as SP, Enforcement. K Mohan, SP, was posted as AIGP, Headquarters, Chennai, R Balasubramanian, SP, anti-dacoity cell, was posted as SP, NIB CID, Chennai, and Seema Agarwal, IGP, as IGP, Vigilance, TNEB.S Rajendran, IGP, was posted as IGP, State Traffic Planning Cell, while I Raja, ADGP, was posted at the Economic Offences Wing, Chennai, replacing Ashish Bengara, who was posted as ADGP, State Crime Records Bureau. Mithilesh Kumar Jha, ADGP, was posted as ADGP/Member, Uniformed Services Recruitment Board. The posting of G Sampath Kumar as SP, Vellore district, was cancelled.
