BANGALORE: There are plans of building more Traffic and Transit Management Centres (TTMCs) in areas such as Katriguppe, Hebbal and Indira nagar, Home and Transport Minister R Ashok said on Tuesday.Speaking after after inaugurating the Traffic and Transit Management Centre at Yeshwantpur, he said these TTMCs will be built on public private partnership (PPP) model.He also announced that a Rs 20 crore project is underway for building new bus depots in Dasanapura and Gunjur.He also said that in the next one year, the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation will be adding 1,000 BS IV buses, while another 200 airconditioned buses also will be added into the fleet.The minister also announced that he would be visiting the naxal affected areas of the state to review law and order situation."In the next ten days, I am planning to visit the naxal affected areas of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Shimoga and Chikmagalur districts to review the situation," he said.Ashok further said that he will be meeting Deputy Commissioners, Chief Executive Officers of Zilla Panchayats and Superintendents of Police and their subordinates to solve some of the problems faced by the people in the districts."The police stations in these areas need more personnel and facilities all that will be reviewed during the trip," he added.
