Unable to return Rs 4,000, Bihar engineer beaten to death in Delhi
A 20-year-old B.Tech graduate was beaten to death by four of his friends after he was unable to return Rs.4,000 he owed to one of them, police said on Tuesday. The main accused has been arrested.

A 20-year-old B.Tech graduate was beaten to death by four of his friends after he was unable to return Rs.4,000 he owed to one of them, police said on Tuesday. The main accused has been arrested.

Rehan was beaten by iron rods by the four people near his home at Shaheen Bagh area in south Delhi Monday night. He was with another friend when the attack took place.

Police said Rehan, a native of Bihar, lived with his elder sister who works in a private company.

Accused Danish, who lived in the same locality, called Rehan on the pretext of talking to him on getting a bank loan.

Danish, accompanied by three other friends, attacked with iron rods. They hit him several times on his head which led to his death on the spot. The four then fled the scene.

Police arrested Danish while the other three are on the run.

During interrogation, Danish told police that Rehan had been paying no heed to him whenever he demanded his money back.
