UP: Mother throws 11-month-old from second floor

Ghaziabad: Apparently depressed over a fight with her in-laws, a woman allegedly threw her 11-month-old child from the second floor of her residence in Sahibabad area near Ghaziabad, the police said.

The incident took place on Friday night in Janakpuri area when the woman, identified as Pooja, had an altercation with her in-laws over some issue, they said.

The accused, in a fit of rage, allegedly threw the toddler from the balcony, leading to the instantaneous death of the infant, they said.

Pooja has been arrested and further investigation is on, police said.
