Opposition BJP on Monday accused the Gehlot government of ignoring the education sector in Rajasthan.
Addressing a public meeting in Sriganganagar district during her Suraj Sankalp Yatra, state BJP president and former chief minister Vasundhara Raje said 496 ITIs were opened during her government while the Congress government in two terms opened 360 ITIs.
She said that her government opened three medical and 5 dental colleges whereas the Gehlot government during two terms could not open even a single medical or dental college.
On the ruling Congress' allegations that she was making false promises to people, Raje said, "It is Congress which tells lies to people. The present government has not fulfilled promises made in its election manifesto and the fact is well known by people."
Raje reiterated that if voted to power, BJP would abolish Teachers Eligibility Test (TET).
