HYDERABAD: Viswa Hindu Parishad International working president Praveen Togadia has given a call for development a strong Hindu vote bank to protect the community’s interests in the land of their origin.Participating as chief guest in the Veer Hanuman Vijay Yatra organised by the Bajrang Dal in the city on Friday, he said there was a need to develop a Hindu vote bank and to ensure that every Hindu cast his or her vote. We can establish a Hindu nation if all the Hindus unite,’’ he said. The VHP leader appealed to Hindus, particularly the youth, to use social networking sites and Internet to interact with each other more, and announced his email ID, [email protected], and asked people to interact with him on the Facebook and Twitter. He said they started a 24-hour helpline, 020-66803300, on which Hindus can share their problems. Criticising leaders who used Muslim vote bank for personal and political gains, and turned blind to cow-slaughtering, he said such leaders should be boycotted socially, politically and spiritually. He said they would launch a nationwide campaign against reservation for Muslims from April 9. One crore pamphlets will be distributed and dharnas held at tahsildar’s offices across the country on April 16. After the reopening of schools and colleges, students will be roped in to launch agitations.Flagging off the procession, Togadia wondered how the govt could think of imposing restrictions on Hanuman Jayanti celebrations. Does the government impose such restrictions on the festivals of other communities?’’ he asked. He said how could J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah and the governor decide the time of commencement and duration of the Amarnath yatra? It was for the Hindu community to decide it.
