The Telangana Cabinet will meet on Tuesday at 2pm to take a decision on the extension of Covid-induced lockdown
According to the Chief Minister’s Office, the state cabinet is likely to discuss the situation in the state amidst the Corona, medical and health, agriculture operations, the economic situation in the state due to lockdown etc.
Telangana on Monday reported 1,933 new COVID-19 cases, pushing the tally to 5,93,103, while the toll rose to 3,394 with 16 more deaths. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 165, followed by Khammam (160) and Nalgonda (148), a state government bulletin said, providing details as of 5.30 PM on Monday.
It said 3,527 people recovered from the infectious disease, pushing the cumulative number of recovered cases to 5,64,303. The number of cases under treatment/isolation was 25,406.
The bulletin said 1,32,996 samples were tested on Monday and the total number of samples tested was 1,59,94,238. The samples tested per million population were 4,29,721.
The case fatality and recovery rates in the state were 0.57 per cent and 95.14 per cent, respectively.
