CHENNAI: A woman who said bombs have been placed at the Poes Garden residence of Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and at her party’s office, was arrested on Saturday after a difficult search. Police had a hard time hunting down 32-year-old Senthamilselvi of Maraimalai Nagar because she looked very different in the photograph police used in the search. Senthamilselvi turned out to be a bald woman which made the job difficult for the police. She was found to be wearing a wig in the photograph. She was arrested at a dispensary from where she used her mobile phone to make the fake bomb threat to 108 emergency service control room.  Senthamilselvi confessed to police that she wanted to take revenge on her husband who deserted her as the SIM card of her mobile phone belonged to him. She thought he would be implicated, police sources said. The fake bomb threat forced police to rush a sniffer dog squad but no explosives were found after the search. Police questioned Aruldoss of Cuddalore who had purchased the SIM card from where the call came.  On finding that his wife Senthamilselvi was using the SIM card police traced her with a photograph they took from Aruldoss, sources said.“She was actually bald, but had a wig in the photograph. We approached many people, but none could identify her. Even we did not know that she was bald until we saw her. Finally, a woman identified after imagining the woman in the photograph without hair,” said a police official.
