New Delhi: Anurag Basu's 'Barfi' emerged as the big winner at Zee Cine Awards 2013. The film, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Illeana D'Cruz, won awards for its lead cast as well the Best Film and Best Director award for Basu.
The film, set in the picturesque loacles of North Bengal, also won award for cinematography and production design. Ranbir Kapoor was awarded the Best Actor award (Jury) for his role while Priyanka Chopra was given the Best Actress award (popular) for her role of Jhilmil. Illeane D'Cruz was declared as the joint winner for the Best Debut Female award. She shared her award with Yami Gautam who won the award for her role in 'Vicky Donor'.
'Vicky Donor' also fetched an award for Ayushmann Khurana who won the award for Best Debut Male and shared it with Arjun Kapoor who won it for 'Ishaqzaade'.
Sujoy Ghosh's 'Kahaani' got six awards. Best Film (Jury), Best Actress (Jury) for Vidya Balan, Best Editing, Best Story for Ghosh and Advaita Kala, Best Screenplay.
Salman's Chulbul Pandey in 'Dabangg 2' fetched him the Best Actor (Popular) award. Khan also the Social Media Award. Both the awards were collected by his brother Arbaaz Khan who also was honoured for his film raking in Rs 100 crores at the Box Office with other directors like Kabir Khan, Ashwini Dhir, Rohit Shetty, Anurag Basu, Sajid Khan and Karan Malhotra.
Pritam won the Best Music award for his tunes for 'Cocktail' while Shreya Ghoshal was adjudged as the Best Female Singer for 'Saans' from the film 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'. Sonu Nigam was awarded the Best Singer (Male) for his song 'Abhi Mujhme Kahin' from the film 'Agneepath'.
