BTS member J-Hope is currently on a hiatus to fulfill his mandatory military service, but that hasn’t stopped him from staying in the spotlight. BigHit Music, the agency behind BTS, is gearing up to release J-Hope’s new album and docu-series titled Hope On The Street. The agency recently released the teaser trailer for the docu-series, along with its release date and streaming platform. In the teaser video, J-Hope expresses his passion for dance and showcases his moves on the street. Hope on the Street Vol.1 is a special album by the BTS member, featuring 6 tracks.
The album will be accompanied by a 6-part docuseries that follows J-Hope’s dance journey as he meets street dancers in cities like Osaka, Paris, New York, Seoul, and Gwangju. The agency described the content fans can expect from the docu-series and added the following caption on their YouTube channel that says, “In 2024, j-hope of BTS begins a new journey in his 12th year, returning to his dancer roots."
In the teaser trailer, J-Hope talks about his love for dance and his desire to revisit its roots, reflecting on where it all began. He mentions: “I had forgotten about the dance which I used to love. I started out with dancing, so I wanted to look back on my dancing."
Scenes in the trailer show J-Hope dancing joyfully at concerts, in practice rooms, and among fellow choreographers he has known for a long time. Phrases like J-Hope dances on the street, J-Hope dreams on the street, and J-Hope learns on the street are displayed, showcasing his journey to different locations.
J-Hope reflects on finding the ultimate answer in dancing and singing, considering learning the most essential thing in life. He says in the Hope on the Street docu-series, “I think the most important thing is learning. The energy you get by being together. Not only in dance but in life too. It’s all a process of learning different things."
