Dharmendra Meets UP CM Yogi Adityanath In Lucknow On Diwali, Gets a Token of Honour

On the auspicious occassion of Diwali, veteran actor Dharmendta met UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. They met in Lucknow, post which the actor also received a token of honour for his presence. The duo posed together for a photo too. Dharmendra is currently in Lucknow to shoot his film ‘Ikkis’. He is going to put up in the capital for the next 10 days.

Talking about Dharmendra’s film ‘Ikkis’, it has been inspired by the life of Paramvir Chakra winner Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal. The movie will also star Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda, which will also mark his second film outing after Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies. Helmed by Sriram Raghavan, the movie is yet to get a release date. Reportedly, Varun Dhawan was previously roped in to play Agastya Nanda’s role in the film.

Dharmendra was last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The film also starred Alia Bhatt, and Ranveer Singh in the lead role. The romantic drama was loved by the audience. However, Dharmendra’s kissing scene with Shabana Azmi was very popular.

During the press conference of the movie, Dharmendra also talked about his on-screen kiss with Shabana Azmi and said, “Maine sab kuch bata diya hai. Jab captain achcha ho toh tab team khoob khelti hai. Ye insaan saath saal baad aaya hai toh ye apna ‘Jauhar’ dikha ke jayega. Maine jis din ye kahani suni, mujhe laga ye ghar ki kahani hai. Aap kisi bhi character ko pakdo. Ranveer ne jo kia hai, he is a very good actor and a very emotional person. I enjoyed every bit of my time with his unit and aur kya kahu mein, ab toh shehr mein nahi, poori duniya mein charcha hai. Bohot maza aaya. Mujhe logo ke bohot se message aa re hai ki Dharam ji aapne aisa aisa kia toh maine bola yaar ye toh mere baaye haath ka kaam hai.”

Coming to his work front, it is reported that he will be seen in Laxman Utekar’s next, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles.
