Television actor Abhishek Kumar has said that his father is deeply affected by Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Recently, the Bigg Boss 17 runner-up was speaking to Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa when he talked about his parents and shared that they are very protective towards him.
“When my mother came into the Bigg Boss house, I was completely shattered. I told her how difficult it was but they supported me in the journey. However, my father got quite scared. He still gets anxious even if I am clearing my throat he rushes to Mumbai to check on me. The reason is that he has been very affected after Sushant sir’s demise. He feels that I am growing but I shouldn’t take any such step,” Abhishek said.
This is not the first time that Abhishek Kumar has talked about SSR. Even during his Bigg Boss 17 stint, Abhishek used to often ask his co-contestant Ankita Lokhande about the late actor.
In April this year, Abhishek also took to his Instagram stories to share a picture of Sushant when he also penned down an emotional note. “Aaj fir tera naam meri zubaan per aaya hai,Bhala tujhe aaj bhikon bhool paaya hai, Tuihe dekh kar to aai bhi aage badh raha hoon, Tere sapno ko jo maine apna bnaya hai!” he wrote.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment in June 2020. While some suspected to be a case of death by suicide, others had alleged foul play. Her sister has been fighting for justice ever since.
In April this year, SSR’s sister, Shweta Singh Kirti launched an online campaign to seek justice for her brother’s death. She announced ‘Nany 4 SSR Jan Andolan’. As a part of this campaign, Shweta urged everyone to tie a red cloth on their wrist or forehead, post the video on social media and request agencies to give justice to the late actor.
In the month of March too, Shweta issued a video statement and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to look into the CBI probe regarding her actor-brother’s death. In her statement, Shweta shared that it’s been 45 months since her brother passed away but they still do not have any update from the investigating agency. She argued that Prime Minister Modi’s help will not only fasten the probe but will also provide relief to “howling hearts”.
“Namastey. I am Shweta Singh Kirti. I am Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister. I am recording this message for our Prime Minister Modi ji. I wanted to bring to your attention that this is the 45th month of Bhai’s passing away and we still don’t know any updates on the investigation that is being conducted by the CBI. I would highly request your intervention into the matter because as a family and as a country, we are grappling with so many answered questions in this case,” she said.
